Not a Fluke: From a Charity Free Day to Hosting the Wedding of an Internet Sensation

How a queue of 1,000 Spudfans, a selfless act of kindness, and one remarkable woman led to the most memorable wedding booking of my career.

Some bookings find you in the most unexpected places. This one found me in a queue a very, very long queue.

Ben, known to over 6 million followers across social media as Spudman, had organised something truly special: a free day for his fans as a heartfelt thank you for all their love and support. More than that, it was a way to raise vital funds for Kidney Research UK a cause deeply personal to Ben, who lives with kidney problems and is currently on dialysis.

Over 1,000 Spudfans turned up, full of excitement, ready to celebrate the man they'd followed and supported for so long. While they waited, I was there doing what I love, entertaining the crowd, keeping spirits high, and making sure every person in that queue felt the magic of the day.

Among those watching was Sarah. Ben's partner. His rock. And soon to be his wife.

Sarah's one wish for the day was simple: she didn't want to worry about a thing. After everything she and Ben had navigated together, this day was meant to be theirs fully and completely. No logistics, no chasing suppliers, no stress. Just joy.

During our planning conversations it became clear that a few key suppliers catering, photography, the DJ  still needed to be confirmed.
